The Life After

Throughout history, the “afterlife” has always been a point of interest and speculation. Is there a heaven and a hell? Is it nothing but emptiness? Or is it something completely unexpected?

In the world of The Life After, the afterlife is not such a simple concept. Any being that wishes to enjoy the gift of a peaceful eternity must prove itself worthy of it.

Bestowed upon you by a powerful entity, you have the ability to separate body and soul. Use it wisely to surpass the challenges along the way, proving that your physical and spiritual essence are both one.

If you reach the Great Tower at the end of the valley, you will be granted passage to the long-awaited Afterlife; if you fail, your living form might have to spend a few more incarnations back on Earth.

The Life After is an Adventure/Puzzle 3D game developed for the Extra Credits Holiday 2018 Game Jam, which took place between December 13th - 18th 2018. The theme of the Game Jam was “present”, which we chose to interpret as the gift of living a peaceful eternity in the Afterlife.

This Game Jam served as a prototyping stage for The Life After, which will continue to be developed and improved.
